1. What Ikigai Is

Ikigai is a career exploration tool that uses personality assessments, labor market data, and AI to suggest career paths. Our results are informational and educational — they are not professional career counseling, employment guarantees, or financial advice.

2. Accounts

You may create an account using Google or a magic link email. You are responsible for keeping your account secure. One account per person.

3. Payments & Refunds

Ikigai offers one-time purchases (Explorer at $9, Navigator at $19) — these are not subscriptions and will not auto-renew. All payments are processed by Stripe. Because our premium features deliver AI-generated content instantly upon purchase, all sales are final. If you experience a technical issue preventing access, contact us and we will make it right.

4. Acceptable Use

Do not use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the service. Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or redistribute our career matching algorithm or AI-generated content. Do not create accounts in bulk or abuse the free tier.

5. AI-Generated Content

Career matches, roadmaps, profile readings, and other personalized content are generated by AI models. While we strive for accuracy, AI can make mistakes. Salary figures are sourced from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics but may not reflect your specific location, experience level, or market conditions. Always do your own research before making career or financial decisions.

6. Data & Privacy

Your use of Ikigai is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

7. Limitation of Liability

Ikigai is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for career outcomes, financial decisions, or any damages arising from use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for premium features.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via the app or email.
